Leonard’s Obituary Leonard S. “Lenny Kay” Keever, age 89 of Mechanicsburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Country Meadows. Born October 11, 1929 in Shenandoah, PA he was the son of the late Anthony and Ida (Yesconis) Keever. Lenny retired as a supervisor of the exhibits construction for the Historical and Museum Commission.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Lenny was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg, VFW South Mountain Post 6771, Dillsburg, American Legion Post 26, Dillsburg and the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was very active in the music business from the 1950’s until 2006.

Lenny toured with the bands Nite Cappers and Lenny Kay Revue. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating in the Chesapeake. In addition to his parents, was preceded in death by his wife Bernadine B. (Grayewski) and brother Ronald Keever.

He is survived by three children Janet Taylor and husband Paul, Leonard J. Keever and wife Ginny and Carolann Helfrick all of Mechanicsburg; 6 grandchildren Krysten Deaner, Ben Keever, Kayla Gearhart (John), Kevin Keever, Clay and Tori Helfrick as well as his 7 great grandchildren Olivia, Matthew, Lucas, Ava, Gavin, Fiona and Lorelei. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 26, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mechanicsburg. Entombment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Viewing will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday at Malpezzi Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Lenny to Disabled American Veterans, 4219 East Trindle Road, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
