Derrick’s Obituary Derrick Lamon Bennett, Jr. was born to Derrick Bennett, Sr. and Lacreshia Hollie on July 29, 2001 in Marshall, Texas. He attended Oak Grove Baptist Church of Marshall, Texas. Derrick was a junior at Marshall High School.

He worked at Taco Bell after school. Derrick loved playing football and riding four-wheelers. He loved trying to be a lil mechanic on his own car and just hanging out with his friends, sister, cousins and classmates during his free time.

He was an AMAZING kid! He passed away on January 12, 2019 and entered into eternal life. Derrick is preceded in death by his brother, Tyrel Bennett; grandparents, Clyde and Clarence Bennett, Sr.; grandfather, Joseph Allen, Sr.; great-grandparents, Albert and Wilbernette Boyd.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his father, Derrick Bennet, Sr.; mother, Lacreshia Hollie; step-father, Brian Hollie; two sisters, Makayla Hollie and Jayla Dabbs; one brother, JaKovi Dabbs; grandmother, Cecilia Johnson; step-grandmother, Wenda Epps; great-grandmother, Florence Taylor. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and very close friends and classmates.
