Dianna Lynn Proffitt, 61, of Parkersburg passed away July 24, 2018 in Morgantown, WV. She was born June 22, 1957 in Parkersburg, WV a daughter of Ruth Crew of Vienna, WV and the late Denver Crew. Dianna retired from Wood County Schools as a Special Education Teacher’s Aide.

She enjoyed gardening, basket weaving, antiquing, traveling and watching her old TV classics. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Proffitt; three sisters, Mary Richards of Parkersburg, Sandy (Butch) Wiseman of Fleming, OH, Chrissy (Scott) Stalnaker of Richburg, SC; one brother, David (Julie) Dotson of Fort Lawn, SC; several nieces, nephews and her faithful loving four legged companions, Oliver, Rosie and Dauphne. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Proffitt and brother Paul “Buddy” Dotson, Jr. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 28, 2018, 11:00 am at the Leavitt Funeral Home Parkersburg with Pastor Seth Fallon officiating.

Burial will follow at Rockland Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, July 27, 2018, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Saturday one hour prior to the service at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, Parkersburg, WV To send flowers or a remembrance gift to the family of Dianna Proffitt, please visit our Tribute Store.
