Lois Anne Bierbower, 85, of Belpre, Ohio passed away July 22, 2018. Lois was born August 30, 1932 in Uniontown, PA to the late William and Lillian Belle (Fullerton) Hellein. She was a longtime member of the First Lutheran Church of Parkersburg and of the Order of the Eastern Star.

In her early years, Lois worked in the loan department of a Uniontown bank before marrying Hugh Bierbower on December 4, 1955. They later moved to Belpre, where she became a homemaker and mother. Lois enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, her pets, and being with family, especially the children.

There are fond memories of freshly baked cookies, bowling, miniature golf, croquet, fishing, playing pool and dominoes, and going to the movies. Life was always an adventure. Lois is survived by her son Jeff Bierbower and wife Kim, her daughter Traci (Bierbower) Stearman and husband Phillip, her grandchildren Matthew and wife Karla, Chelsea and Jerrod Bierbower and Tristan and Kaleigh Stearman, her sister Mary Lou (Hellein) McBride, her sister-in-law Shirley (Connors) Hellein, her brothers Donald and Russell Hellein and her many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Bierbower, brothers, William, Walter and Dale and sister Lorraine (Hellein) McCoy. Funeral services will be Saturday at 3:00pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Pastor Ian Reid officiating. Entombment will be in the Sunset Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00pm until service time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Mid Ohio Valley Regional Office, 1218 Market Street, Parkersburg, WV. 26101 Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.
