Dolores Lohmann Peck, 85, residing in Granger, IN, passed away at 10:12 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, at Holy Cross Village, Notre Dame. She was born on January 21, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York, a daughter of the late Frank and Emily (Liebl) Lohmann, and has lived in this community since 1942, coming from Ohio.

On April 25, 1953 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, South Bend, she was united in marriage to John E. Peck. She is survived by her loving and caring husband John of 65 years. Also surviving are three daughters, Laura (Andy) Adamson of St. Joe, IN; Teresa (Robert Montante) Peck of Bloomsburg, PA; and Anne Marie Peck of Granger, IN; and three sons, Stephen (Carol Paddock) Peck of Indianapolis, IN; Robert (Dawn Williams) Peck of Baton Rouge, LA; and Daniel (Elizabeth) Peck of Granger, IN.

Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren, Andrew “Jon” (Hollie) Adamson, Betsy (Nelson) Yoder, Tom (Elizabeth) Adamson, Sarah (José) Lopez, Joe (Susan) Adamson, Jim (Diane) Adamson, Mary (Daniel) Troyer, Rebecca (Ryan) Stark, Matthew Adamson, Daniel Adamson, David Peck, Daniel Peck, Christopher Peck, and James Peck, along with nineteen great-grandchildren, Ben, Will, David, Julia, Sofia, Eva, Abigail, Sam, Zeke, Joanna, Luke, Joseph, Penny, Lydia, Hannah, Noah, Deborah, Rhoda, Priscilla, and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Albert and Rudolph Lohmann. Mrs. Peck graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1950, and South Bend College of Commerce in 1952.

She was formerly employed as a secretary for the South Bend Community School Corp. , Bendix Aviation Corp. , and the University of Notre Dame.

She was an active member of St. Thérèse, Little Flower Catholic Church, and the various ministries and commissions of the church. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9, at St. Thérèse, Little Flower Catholic Church, 54191 North Ironwood Road, South Bend.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 10, at the church where visitation will also occur one hour prior to Mass on Monday. Rosary will be recited at 6:00pm on Sunday, following visitation at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to St. Thérèse, Little Flower Catholic Church. Arrangements for the Peck family are under the care and direction of the Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel, South Bend. Online condolences to the family may be sent to www.
