Obituary for Dona Jordan Pittman – Dona Jordan Pittman, 75, died January 31, 2018. Ms. Pittman was born February 17, 1942 in Randolph County to Wesley E. Jordan and Donnie Powell. She was raised by her grandparents Artie and Gertrude Jordan of Asheboro.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James A. Pittman, III; parents; grandparents; and grandson, Aaron Alexander Eason. She graduated from Asheboro High School and Liberty University. She was a pastor’s wife, school teacher, and eventually became a licensed psychologist.

She is survived by her son, James A. Pittman, IV and wife Pam of Greenville; four daughters, Wynona Adams and husband Robbie Adams of Charlotte Court House, VA, Edie Justesen and husband George of Ayden, Rhonda Keech and husband Lewis of Havelock, and Sharon Matthews and husband Steven of Belhaven; 14 grandchildren; 10 great children. Family visitation will be held from 11 a.m – 12:30 p.m on Saturday at Freedom Baptist Church in Ayden, followed by the funeral at 1 p.m with the Rev. Worth Forbes officiating.

Burial will take place after the service in the Cockrell Family Cemetery, 2905 Glendale Road, Kenly. Flowers are welcomed, or in lieu of flowers, memorial contribution in her honor may be made to Gideons International. Condolences to farmercondolence@embarqmail.com.
