Donna’s Obituary Brasher Falls, NY — Donna Urtz, 70, of Brasher Falls, NY, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, on January 17, 2019, at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. She was born on August, 28, 1948, in Ticonderoga, NY, the daughter of the late Ernest L. and Arlene “Sally” (Hill) Ross. Donna attended Bolton Central School, where she was a cheerleader and a band member.

Donna began her passion for the food industry by working at her parents’ restaurant, Ross’s Roost, and then went on to own and operate her own local diners, as well as one located in South Carolina. Along with her passion for the food industry, Donna loved anything and everything involving Elvis, her cats and gambling at the casino. Above all, Donna loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Brant Urtz of Glens Falls; her three children, Lori (Scott) Crandall, Lisa Urtz and Christopher (Trishia) Urtz; her ten grandchildren; Kristen, Alicia, Jamie, John, Tracy, Cassandra, Angel, Serenity, Justice and Joshua; 18 great-grandchildren; her seven siblings, David, Donald (Jody), Doreen (Fred), Dolores (Curt), Darren (Teri), Dennis (Shelly) and Deanne (Troy); many cousins, nieces and nephews; also, her close and dear friend, Suzanne Jordan. Calling hours will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804. A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with Sister Donna Irvine officiating.
