Doris (Lee) Souders, 80, formerly of Mountainside, NJ, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 in Central Florida. Born September 4, 1937 in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of the late William Sr. and Frances (Pfister) Lee. Doris lived in Mountainside for over 20 years where she raised her three boys and was married to Dick Souders.

While living there, she enjoyed playing tennis and bowling with friends. Her home was always open to her sons’ friends. She would do her best to chaperone the boys’ parties at the house and tried to keep them from getting out of control.

Doris was deeply loved by everyone and will be highly missed. Surviving are two sons, Denis Souders and his wife Kim, and Steve Souders and his wife Melissa, of Central Florida; three brothers, William Lee, Jr. and his wife Rita, and Richard Lee, Sr. and his wife Beverly, both of Easton, and Ronald Lee, of Tionesta, PA; three grandchildren, Alexandra, Juston and Sadie; and nine nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her eldest son, Richard “Rick” Souders.

A memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday, May 5 in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton St., Wilson Borough. Call Saturday 10-11am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine next to her eldest son.
