Obituary for Dorothy Inis Marcum Appalachia, Virginia Dorothy Marcum, 93, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 6, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Willian Marcum; daughter, Brenda Louise Diets; son, Albert Willian Marcum Jr.; and grandson, Jeremy Davis. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Betty Clark (Lenoir, NC), Joyce Faye Davis (Sevierville, TN), Jerry Wayne Marcum (Coeburn, VA); daughter-in-law, Betty Price Marcum (NC); grandchildren, Joe Clark (Lenoir, NC), Mike Diets and wife Robin (Cookeville, TN), Richard Davis (Sevierville), Randy Diets (Big Stone Gap, VA), Lisa Clark (Lenoir, NC), Angie Marcum (NC), Casey Marcum (NC).

Dorothy was survived by 5 generations which include her grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She also left behind numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Roy A. Green Funeral Home Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 12 noon to 2 pm.

Services will be held at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Jerry Belcher and Rev. Joe Clark.

Special music will be provided by Jimmy Messer. Procession will follow to the American Legion Cemetery for the committal. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Joe Clark, Richard Davis, Randy Diets, Mike Diets, as well as friends.
