Obituary for Mr. Edward Carnelies Hightower Edward Carnelies Hightower, 67, of 100 Woodland Way, West Union, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018, at his home. A native of Oconee County, SC, Mr. Hightower was the son of the late David Carnelies and Florence Ava Towe Hightower. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked in textiles.

Mr. Hightower is survived by his son: Steven Hightower of Fair Play; daughter: Dawn Smith (Robert) of Walhalla; brothers: Morris David Hightower (Cindy) of Seneca, Donnie Lee Hightower of the home and Darrell William Hightower (Rita) of Tamassee; and six grandchildren: Brandon Hightower, Tristan Hightower, Ryan Grayson, Chris Lecroy, Jon Lecroy and Erica Lecroy. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 4, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, Friday, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 1130, Fairfax, VA 22038. The family is at the home of Morris, 524 Wayside Circle, Seneca, SC 29678.
