Obituary for Mr. Kenneth Howard Ridley Kenneth Howard Ridley, 66, husband of the late Elva Dean Parker Ridley, of 115 McAlister Street, Central, passed away, Saturday, June 9, 2018, at his home. A native of Tamassee, SC, Mr. Ridley was the son of the late Joe Baylus Ridley and Martha Jane Nicholson Whitmire. He retired as a machinist from Imperial Die Casting.

Mr. Ridley is survived by his sons: James M. Rochester (Lisa) of Walhalla, and Kenneth B. Ridley (Dixie) of Central; daughters: Verita Rochester, Kimberly R. Smith (Robert), and Juanita Bearden, all of Central; brother: Ralph Ridley (Janie) of Pickens; sisters: Mary Friesel (Bob) of Salem, Brenda Holbrooks of Anderson, and Linda Couch of Walhalla; thirteen grandchildren: Angela Tribble (Fred), Delana Reynolds, David Rochester (Trudy), Jeffrey Rochester, Cody Burkhart (Lydia), Keelan DeLorme (Destenny), Morgan Smith (Caroline), Taylor Smith, Jodie Ridley, Michael Chapman (Nebraska), Tristen Chapman, Donald Bearden (Nikole) and Levi Bearden; fourteen great-grandchildren: Madison Keeney, Mady Tribble, Hanna Tribble, Kassidy Tribble, Caydin Reynolds, Cameron Reynolds, Emma Rochester, Chloe Rochester, Natalie Burkhart, Dominic DeLorme, Aiyanna Thompson, Jasper Chapman, Galaxy Chapman and Castiel Chapman; many special nieces and nephews; and life-long friends. Mr. Ridley was known as “papa” to many children. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Ridley was preceded in death by his grandson: James Martin Rochester, Jr. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Shook Cemetery in North Carolina.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted, or memorials may be made to Interim Hospice, 16 Hyland Road, Greenville, SC 29615. The family is at the home.
