Obituary for Mr. Ron Carnes Ron Carnes of Seneca passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018. He was the son of Oakley and Virginia Carnes of Arkport, NY. He was Born in Buffalo, NY in March of 1942.

He had 3 siblings, 2 sisters Lynette (deceased) and Barb Scharett and brother Robert Carnes. Ron was a past President of the Lions Club Organization in Fort Myers, FL. He was a Motorcycle enthusiast who just loved being outdoors, whether it was a long motorcycle ride or just being at Lake Keowee.

He will always be remembered for being such a loving and caring father and grandfather that would always do whatever he could to be part of family moments and celebrations. Ron would ALWAYS have an opinion, whether it was right or wrong, everyone knew it was coming. He is survived by his son Stephen and his daughter Amy, daughter in law Stacy, and his grandchildren Savannah, Sydney, Aidan and Aislynn.

Ron had his fair share of positions early on from working for Erie Railroad, to working for the Sheriffs Department to then finding his home in the dump trucking world, where he began to build his own trucking company one truck at a time. He decided in 2013 that he wanted to be closer to his family so he retired to Seneca, SC, and began to enjoy his time with his brother and sister. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel.
