Obituary for Mr. Horace Welborn Neal Horace Welborn Neal, 79, of 175 LeCroy Park Road, West Union, husband of Wilma Kelley Neal, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Lakeview Assisted Living Center. A native of Walhalla, SC, Mr. Neal was the son of the late Harry Edward and Maude Shead Neal. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during Vietnam and later retired as a painter.

Mr. Neal was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Neal is survived by his son: Travis Holmes (Kristen); daughters: Lisa Talley (Gerald) and Sheila Smith (Tim); brothers: Ricky Neal and Donnie Neal; sisters: Lois Kelley and Herlene Land; and grandchildren: Zack Smith, Griffin Diggs, Sarah Grace Smith, Levi Talley, Katie Bess Holmes, Isaac Holmes, Trey Talley and Jessie Talley. In addition to his parents, Mr. Neal was preceded in death by four brothers: Larry Neal, Dennis Neal, Jerry Neal and Randy Neal.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 26, 2018, at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veteran’s Cemetery in Anderson. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM, Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Davenport Funeral Home. In lieu of the flowers, memorials may be made to Lakeview Assisted Living, 320 Camp Road, Walhalla, South Carolina 29691.
