Eleanore Ruth Spears, 88, of Westminster, died Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at Carroll Hospital Center. Born May 29, 1930 in Hicksville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Forst) Schwarting and Theodore Schwarting. She was the beloved wife of the late Howard W. Spears, Sr

She is survived by children Howard W. Spears, Jr. and wife Patricia, Kurt Spears and wife Kathleen, Scott Spears and wife Connie, Robert Spears and wife Patricia and Kathleen A. Spears, and a brother Theodore Schwarting. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Krug Chapel at Carroll Lutheran Village, 300 St. Luke Circle, Westminster, MD 21158, with Chaplain Jimmie Schwartz and Deacon Don Myers co-officiating.

Inurnment will be held at a later date at Living Lord Church in Vero Beach, FL.
