Obituary for Ellin Haley Ellin Haley, a former Beacon and Manhattan resident, passed away on March 12, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. She was 83 years old. Ellin was born on July 11, 1934 in Beacon, the daughter of the late Herbert and Mary Supple Haley.

Ellin worked as an Executive Assistant for Bristol-Myers Squibb and Clairol in Manhattan before her retirement. Ellin was a world traveler visiting over 20 countries in her lifetime including Turkey, Russia, Uruguay, Argentina and most of Europe. Ellin is survived by her 18 nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ellin was predeceased by her brothers, Ted and John Haley and her sister, Claire Fredrick. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Patrick J. Halvey of Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, LLC.
