Obituary for Hazel L. Antalek Hazel L. Antalek, a lifelong Beacon resident, died Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. She was born in New York City on August 12, 1922. She was the daughter of William and Hazel Miller.

She was married to Joseph N. “Bosh” Antalek who predeceased her in 2009. She was also predeceased by a son, Richard “Porky” Antalek who died in 2013. Hazel is survived by her son, William Antalek of Fishkill and her daughter, Janet Cunningham of Tampa, FL; her five grandchildren, William Antalek, Jr. of Stormville, Stacey Rabe of Hopewell Junction, Sarah Apmann and her husband, Todd of Wappingers Falls, Chuck Cunningham, Jr. and his wife, Robyn and Beth Romano and her husband, Chris all of Tampa, FL; her ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Hazel was also predeceased by her brothers, Richard and his wife, Louise Miller and Robert and Linda Miller. She was well known working at Little Jo’s corner store for her friendly manner and always called her customers “sweetie” and an old saying, “enjoy it”. The family will receive their friends and family on Sunday, September 23 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman Street, Beacon.

A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, September 24 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joachim Cemetery, 325 Washington Avenue, Beacon. Donations in memory of Mrs. Antalek may be made to Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) in Beacon. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Patrick J. Halvey of Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, LLC.
