Obituary for Jeffrey M. Ninnie Jeffrey M. Ninnie, a longtime resident of Beacon, entered into rest on September 20, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was 65 years old. Jeffrey was born in Beacon on October 28, 1952 the son of the late Armand and Carolyn Powell Ninnie.

Jeff proudly served our country in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1974. On September 6, 1975 he married the former Karen Wiercinski in Beacon. He worked as a butcher for many years at several local Grand Unions and retired from Key Food in Beacon.

Over the years Jeff developed many close relationships with his co-workers whom he considered family. In addition to his wife, Jeffrey is survived by his daughter, Cara Heaton and her husband, Rick; his grandchildren, Derrick, Aiden and Liam; his brothers, Thomas Ninnie and wife, Betsy, David Ninnie and Michael Ninnie and wife, Mary; his mother-in-law, Kathleen Wiercinski; his brother-in-law, Stephen Wiercinski; his sister-in-law, Sister Mary of Jesus; his nieces, Amber Wiercinski-Long, Jennifer Edge and Alison Neilson. In addition to his parents, Jeffrey was predeceased by his son, Kevin M. Ninnie in 2001.

Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, September 25 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman Street, Beacon. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 26 at 11 a.m. Burial at St. Joachim Cemetery will be private following the funeral service. Memorial donations in memory of Jeffrey may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
