COEBURN, VIRGINIA – Evelyn Holbrook Hall, 82, died Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, Tennessee. She was born in Johnson City, Tennessee; daughter of the late Ora and Allie Miner Holbrook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene H. Hall; three brothers, Carl Hands, Willard Holbrook, and Roy Holbrook; and one sister, Kathleen Cassidy.

She retired from the postal service in 1992, and was a member of Midway Church where she enjoyed bible study. She is survived by her son, Gene Allen Hall and wife, Missie Boggs-Hall of Coeburn, Virginia; one brother, Douglas C. Holbrook and wife, Jackie of Fredericksburg, Virginia; nephew, Roger Holbrook and wife, Colleen of Cosby, Tennessee; very special friend, Marie Holbrook of Coeburn, Virginia; special cousin, Jeri Sue Baker of Coeburn, Virginia; several other nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Evelyn Holbrook Hall will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2019 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Pastor Carrol Childress officiating.

Committal Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2019 in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Family and Friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:30 a.m. Monday. Pallbearers will be Doug Holbrook, Kevin Holbrook, Rodney Baker, Gary Woody, Larry Baker, and Roger Holbrook.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2019 in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia. On line condolences may be sent to the Hall family through our website and a video tribute may be viewed at www. castlewoodfuneralhome.com.
