Obituary for Freeman Harris Freeman Eugene (Hensley) Harris, age 55, passed away on August 9, 2018, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Born in Asheville, NC but a native of Unicoi County, Freeman is a son of Janice (Shelton) Hensley and the late Berlson Hensley. He was a member of Sweetwater Church of God in Flag Pond.

He was employed as a forklift operator and was a backyard mechanic. In addition to his father, Freeman is preceded in death by one brother: Roger B. Harris, and his grandparents Bruce and Rosalee Shelton. In addition to his mother, Freeman Eugene Harris leaves behind to cherish his memories: Step-father: Seaphus Hensley; Sisters: Rose Shelton, Barbara Sawyer and husband, David; JoAnn Shelton and husband, Scottie Sister-in-law: Emma Lou Harris Carver; Brothers: Bobby Hensley, Carson Shelton, Alvis Shelton; Estranged wife: Jenny Harris; Daughter: Nancy Shelton; Nieces: Sheena Harris, Haley Shelton, Holly Sawyer, Heather Sawyer; Nephew: Jacob Sawyer; Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; Special family: Kathleen Conduff, Arnold and Shelia Hensley; Special friend: Dave Wise and family.

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Freeman Eugene Harris in a memorial service to be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Sweetwater Church of God. Reverend Craig Shelton will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by family and friends.

A committal service will follow in Pete Creek Cemetery. Those attending the committal service will meet at the Sweetwater Church of God by 2:00 PM. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family and viewed at www.
