Obituary for Loretta C. Hammond-Day Loretta C. Hammond-Day, age 69, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at her residence. A native of Erwin, Loretta is the daughter of the late Merritt Miller and Della Campbell. She was a member of the Elks Lodge in Elizabethton and VFW of Johnson City where she served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary and also as a State Representative.

In addition to her parents, Loretta is preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters. Loretta C. Hammond-Day leaves behind to cherish her memory: Special Companion: Don Hammond; Daughter: Donna Sease and husband, George; Step-son, Burt Donovan Armstrong; Several Grandchildren; Several Great Grandchildren; Brothers; Howard Miller, Lowell Miller; Sister: Louise Hale. The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Loretta C. Hammond-Day in a committal service to be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Evergreen Cemetery.

Bishop John Edwards will officiate. Those attending will meet at the mausoleum in Evergreen Cemetery by 10:50 AM. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family and viewed at www.
