Gary Michael Muntz March 06, 1936 – December 12, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Gary Michael Muntz, age 82, of Caro, Michigan passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at United Hospice Service in Marlette, Michigan. Gary was born in Mayville, Michigan on March 6, 1936 to the late Norval and Beulah (Weston) Muntz of Mayville. He spent much of his early life in Mayville working on his parent’s farm.

He attended Mayville High School and graduated in 1955. Gary worked at Vassar Manufacturing for 30 years then moved to Tennessee where he worked for Bradford Tool and Die. He married Carol (Grenke/Stadwick) and they were together for 51½ years.

Gary enjoyed many hobbies such as hunting, fishing, golfing, and playing cards. There was even a short stint of riding motorcycles. He loved playing bingo and traveling on bus trips to the casinos with friends.

Gary loved sports and on Sundays you could find him watching the Lions, win or lose. Gary is survived by his wife, Carol of Caro; two daughters, Victoria Penland and Micki (Dale) Mitchell; three sons, Wesley (Nancy) Muntz, Kent (Kelly) Muntz and Keith (Julie) Muntz; twelve grandchildren, Lacy (Terry) Mrock, Reality Penland, Adam Mitchell, Amy (Nick ) Hall, Allison Muntz, Megan Mincel, Tabatha Muntz, Andrew Muntz, Wesley (Whitney) Muntz Jr., Justin Muntz, Ryan Muntz and Alyssa Muntz; four great-grandchildren, Nathan and Cooper Mrock and Ella and Liam Hall; one sister, Gail Hill; and one very special little friend named “Peanut,” the family dog. A Service of Remembrance will be a held at the Caro VFW Hall on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Keith Mead officiating.
