Obituary for George E. Fiske George Fiske 82, of Berlin, CT passed away peacefully Saturday, September 29, 2018 at CT Hospice in Branford. Born in Hartford, CT on January 28, 1936 George was the son of the late Allen Clifford and Mary Garland (Hayes) Fiske and Stepfather Gerhardt Puppel. He was a member of St Paul’s Church in Kensington and honorary member of East Berlin volunteer fire dept.

George worked at Wagner Ford in Simsbury for thirty-four years and left in 1989. He was also employed at the Town of Berlin for five years and retired in 1993. George is survived by his loving wife Diane (Squillacote) Fiske his daughter Laura Karoll and her husband Jeff and daughter Debbie Simons and her husband Jim all of Berlin, CT, his grandchildren Kristen Karoll Holmes and her husband Matthew, Korey Karoll and Ashley Lumbra as well as several nieces, nephews and his dog Sebastian.

George was predeceased by his brother Charles Fiske. A special thanks to the Berlin VNA and CT Hospice in Branford. Funeral rites for George will be held Monday, October 8, 2018 with the procession departing at 9:15 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave.

, New Britain, CT. , followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Church, 485 Alling St., Berlin, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill, CT.

Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home Monday from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. Directions to funeral home – I-84 east or west, exit 37 (Fienemann Rd) – right off exit – one mile down on right. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Berlin VNA, 240 Kensington Rd. , Berlin, CT.
