Geremia “Jerry” Apicella of Branford died peacefully on July 25, 2018 at Branford Hills Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Shepard Apicella. Jerry was born in New Haven on July 11, 1940 to the late Anthony and Mary Berardesca Apicella.

He was a produce manager at Pegnataro’s and ShopRite and also worked at Railroad Salvage. He was the father of Anthony Apicella and Jeannine Quinones. Brother of Achille (Gil) Apicella and his wife Sheila.

Brother-in-law of John and Anita Ferro and uncle of Denise and Sheila Apicella and Charlene Taylor. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Ramiro Quinones. Jerry’s family would like to thank the staff at Branford Hills and Jill from Seasons Hospice for the wonderful care they gave him.

Visiting hours will be Monday morning from 8:00 – 9:30am in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Pl. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Michael Church at 10. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
