Ronald Eugene Raffone, of East Haven passed away July 20, 2018 in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He is the loving husband of 49 years of Roberta D’Urso Raffone. Born in New Haven July 18, 1946, son of the late Rudolph R. and Anna “Tess” Mirto Raffone, Ron was a machinist at Pratt & Whitney for 36 years, retiring in 2002.

He was a member of the Improved Order of Redmen- Hammonasset Tribe #1 and the Holy Family Retreat League. Ron was a former boy scout leader and coach at the Foxon Rec League. Beloved father of Annemarie Raffone and her husband Ryan Dudley, Ronald E. Raffone Jr. and his wife Laura Holtz-Raffone, and Diana Westefeld.

Brother of Terry, Rudolph Jr. “Rudy”, Richard, Joseph, Robert, and William Raffone. Proud grandfather of Noah and Autumn Raffone, Alexander Raffone, Grace and John Westefeld, and Camille, Hannah, and Alannah Dudley. Visiting hours will be held in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Place Tuesday evening from 4-7.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church Wednesday morning at 9am. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Johns Hopkins Scleroderma Center, attn: Donna Bolin Dept of Medicine 5200 Eastern Ave.
