Obituary for Gertrude M. “Trudy” Muoio Gertrude M. “Trudy” Muoio, 63, of Jamestown, N.Y., passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 12, 1953 in Westfield, N.Y., the daughter of the late Robert Ebert and Rose Marie Dickinson. Trudy graduated from Ripley High School in 1971.

She was employed as a certified nurse assistant at Fenton Park and Accredited Care in Jamestown. She also was a hairdresser. Trudy was an avid gardener and received the Grow Jamestown Award in 2014.

She also enjoyed arts and crafts, being outdoors and spending time fishing. She loved spending time with her family especially with her grandchildren. She had a wonderful sense of humor.

She was an animal lover, and will be missed by her fur family. She is survived by her long-time companion, Russ Conti of Jamestown, N.Y., her daughters: Stephanie Morse and Jennifer Conti both of Jamestown; three sons: Gerald Muoio, Toby Muoio (Jennifer Katta) of Celoron, N.Y. and Brandon Muoio of Jamestown, N.Y.; three close nieces: Tasha Johnson, Julia Peterson and Stacey Peterson all of Jamestown, N.Y.; three sisters; Verna Dickinson of Jamestown, N.Y., Barbara Reinhardt and Linda Applebee both of Arizona; two brothers: Robert Ebert of Ripley, N.Y. and Michael Dickinson of Jamestown, N.Y.; and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Marylou Ebert and Lynda Peterson; two brothers, LaVerne Ebert and Larry Applebee.

Friends and family may call at Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home, 316 East Fifth Street, Jamestown, N.Y. on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A service will be on Thursday at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Jamestown, NY.
