Glendora May Dimmitt, 85 of Grand Island died Sunday, May 19, 2019 with her loving family at her side. To honor her wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life service will be at a later date.

A memorial fund will be established in memory of Glendora. All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Glendora was born May 4, 1934 at Neligh, NE the daughter of Glenn and Sadie (Schober) Murray.

She graduated from Neligh High School on May 12, 1951. On November 29, 1952 she was united in marriage to Gordon Dimmitt. They made Grand Island their home.

Some of Glendora’s enjoyments included her yard, gardening and flowers. Her greatest treasure was her family. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Kathy (David) Dowty of York, NE; a son, Roger Dimmitt of Grand Island; a sister, Delores Mooney of Kennewick, WA; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a great great-granddaughter.

She is preceded in death by her husband on February 16, 2013; her son, Michael Dimmitt on May 17, 2012; her parents and a sister and four brothers. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Glendora May Dimmitt please visit our Sympathy Store.
