Obituary for Glenn J. Butterfield Glenn J. Butterfield, 82, of Iron Mountain, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2019 at his home. Glenn was born on January 5, 1937 in Niagara, son of the late Clarence and Claire (Kallenbach) Butterfield. Glenn has been a resident of this area for most of his life and attended Kingsford Schools.

He married Arlene Pillion on February 23, 1957 at St. Mary and St. Joseph Church in Iron Mountain. Glenn began working at an early age and operated Butterfield Construction Co. for over forty years. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

Glenn was a talented self taught follower of Bob Ross painting. He was also wonderful storyteller and enjoyed trips to the casino and an occasional VO and Coke. Glenn is survived by his wife of sixty one years, Arlene; children, Scott (Julie) Butterfield of Kingsford and Linda LaPlante of Norway; his brother, Bill (Nancy) Butterfield of Niagara; sister, Juanita Sparks of Niagara, WI; grandchildren, Kelly (Steve Hilsabeck) Butterfield, Jared Butterfield and Brandon Butterfield; great grandchildren, Jace and Braylon.

Also by several nieces and nephews. Glenn was preceded in death by his grandson, Alan LaPlante; son in law, Dana LaPlante; brother, Ernest Butterfield and a brother in law, Bob Sparks. Visitation will be on Friday, January 11, 2018 from 11:00am-1:00pm at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.

A Celebration of Life service will follow at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Iron Mountain Cemetery Park. Condolences to the family of Glenn Butterfield may be expressed online at www.
