Gene “Geno” Donaldson Jr., 57, of Channing, MI passed away unexpectedly on February 15th, 2019. He was born on April 6, 1961 in Racine, WI the son of Gene Sr. and Donna (Yust) Donaldson. Geno was a resident of Dickinson County since 1989 and married Denise Fliess on November 11, 2008.

He was a hard worker and always there to lend a hand to anyone in need. Geno was an avid collector of all things and enjoyed camping, hunting and four-wheeling. He was also a member of the Sagola Township Sportsmen’s Club.

Geno will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched with his kindheartedness and humor. He was one of a kind. His family is proud that even in death, his selflessness will carry on with his organ and tissue donation.

It is our hope that one day we will see those piercing blue eyes in a stranger and know that his soul lives on. Geno is survived by his wife, Denise; children, Tami (Kris Crow) Kaprelian, Jeremy (Jessica) LaCanne and Jason LaCanne; his step-mother, Lorraine Anderson; grandchildren, Mya LaCanne, Jayce Pauken, Riley Pauken, Cameron Fiero and Dean Crow. He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Sr. and sister, Janet Donaldson.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 22nd, 2019 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Grace Presbyterian Church in Sagola. A service of remembrance will follow at 5:00 pm at Grace Presbyterian Church. Rev.
