Helen A. (Nickerson) Cogswell, 87 of West Bridgewater passed away June 27, 2018. She was the wife of the late Richard W. Cogswell, Sr. Born August 4, 1930 in Taunton she was the daughter of the late Albert and Helen (Hayden) Nickerson formerly of West Bridgewater. Helen and Richard first met in the 7th grade when the neighborhood elementary schools converged and were married for 62 years.

She was a life time resident of West Bridgewater and had worked for the New England Telephone and Telegraph Co and AT&T. She was a doll collector, “Poet”, and enjoyed sewing and knitting. She is survived by a daughter Kendra L. Newton and her husband Lawrence of Sumner, Maine; two sisters Sandra Johnson of FL and Rhonda Roberts of West Bridgewater and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also the mother of the Richard W. Cogswell, Jr and sister of the late Susan R. Floeck. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater, MA. At Helen’s request please omit flowers.
