Henry J. Peroginelli, 93, of Bradford, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at his home. He was born on November 22, 1924 in Rochester, NY, the son of the late Richard and Rose Nuzzo Peroginelli. Mr. Peroginelli was pulled out of school to enter the military and at the age of 86 he received his diploma from the Bradford Area High School at the same time as his youngest grandson Brandon.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in the Pacific Theater onboard the merchant marine ships SS Nicholas J. Sinnott and the SS Luther S. Kelly and the aircraft carrier USS Gilbert Ireland during World War II. He was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church; where he was an usher for many years.

He was a fifty year member of the former Moose club and a lifetime member of the La Stella Lodge. He was a bartender for many restaurants and clubs in the area and he also worked many weddings and parties over the years. He was employed by the former Dresser Manufacturing Co., for forty one years; retiring in 1987.

He is survived by one son, Richard (Maureen) Peroginelli of Bradford; three daughters, Rosanne (Kevin) Wyman of Bradford, Susan (Ted) Egger of Hornell, NY and Nancy (Tony Lonzi) Bridge of Bradford; eleven grandchildren, Gina Peroginelli-Ditzenberger, Dr. Michele Peroginelli-Cox, Emily Wyman, Michael Wyman, Sarah Egger-Becher, Theodore Egger, Julie Egger-Stuart, Brian Egger, Eric Egger, Mark Bridge and Brandon Bridge; fourteen great grandchildren, his loving and devoted caregiver Peggy Pyle and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father and his mother, Rose Verrelli and his wife he was also preceded in death by one sister, Kate Persichini and his step-father, Carl Verrelli. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 27 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc. A prayer service will be held at 1:30 PM in the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be conducted at 2:00 PM at the St. Bernard Catholic Church with the Rev.

Raymond Gramata as celebrant. Burial and military honors will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
