Obituary for Mr. Howard Marvin Whitworth Howard Marvin Whitworth, 88, husband of the late Mildred Lucille Slater Whitworth, of 1004 Fairfield Drive, Seneca passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at Keowee Place in Seneca, A native of Battle Creek, SC, Mr. Whitworth was the son of the late Henry Grady Whitworth and Roma Genelia Smith Whitworth. He was retired as a Sergeant 1st Class from the United States Army Special Forces where he served as a Green Beret. Mr. Whitworth served in Korea and Vietnam.

He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Mr. Whitworth is survived by his sons: Jerry Whitworth of Moulton, AL; Mike Whitworth (Rene); Rick Whitworth (Donna) all of Anderson; Terry Whitworth of Seneca; Greg Whitworth of Biloxi, MS; daughters: Deborah Jinks of Walhalla; Brenda McElroy (Dan) of Seneca; Teresa DiLenardo (Stefano) of Atlanta, GA; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers: Raymond, Norman, Bernice, Bruce; and sisters: Evelyn and Jean. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Whitworth was preceded in death by his brother: Walter Whitworth and a daughter-in-law; Judy Whitworth.

Funeral services will be private In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pleasant Ridge Baptist church, 253 Oconee Station Road, Walhalla, SC 29691. The family is at their respective homes.
