Jack A. Miller, 71, of Bluff City, TN passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at his home. He was born in Bristol, VA on June 12, 1947. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Dempsey Miller and a nephew, Daniel Carroll.

He was a member and Deacon at River Bend Baptist Church, Bristol, TN. He was a veteran of the United States Army, had served in the Vietnam War, and received two Purple Heart Medals. Jack had worked at Bristol Steel and Bristol Compressors.

Jack is survived by his wife, Donna Miller; daughter, Melissa Miller of the home; son, Jesse Miller of the home; mother, Mary Wilburn Miller of Bristol, TN; sister, Carol Carroll and husband Wayne of Hickory, NC; brother, David Miller of Bristol, TN; mother-in-law, Doris Carroll of Copperas Cove, TX; brother-in-law, Larry Carroll and wife Sandy of Copperas Cove, TX; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Reeves and husband Mike of Houston, TX; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services, Bristol, VA. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Jim Cumbow and Pastor Doug Shoe officiating.

The committal service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2019 at Mountain View Cemetery, Bristol, VA. Military honors will be provided by Chapter 40 of the D.A.V. and the Army National Guard Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be sent to River Bend Baptist Church, 226 River Bend Rd.
