James Charles Kalchik Of St. Louis, MO and formerly of Bella Vista, AR went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the age of 90. James was born on January 25, 1928 in Leland Township, MI the son of Roy and Celia (Houdek) Kalchik. He was a graduate of Northport High School and went on to receive a bachelor’s of Engineering from Marquette University.

He enjoyed bowling, golf, cards, traveling, and his family. James is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Kalchik; parents, Roy and Celia; sisters Gertrude and Betty. Surviving are his daughters, Sylvia (Chuck) Efken of St. Louis, MO, Rita (Herb) Cradduck of Lake Leelanau, MI, Donna (Bob) Law of Laughlin, NV, Synthia (Bruce) Semon of Kingsley, MI; sons, Richard (Lynne) Kalchik of Winter Garden, FL, Ronald (Laura) Kalchik of Zanesville, OH, Daniel (Lisa) Kalchik of Lansing, MI, Donald Kalchik of North Tonawanda, NY; 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; brothers, Elmer and Tom, sisters, Bernice and Pat and numerous nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Lansing, MI. A visiting hour will start at 10:00 a.m. with the rosary being prayed at 10:45 a.m. For those desiring memorial contributions may be made to the organization of your choice.
