James Edward “Ed” McManaway, 69, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Ed was born in Evansville, Indiana on September 8, 1948. He graduated from North High School and the University of Evansville.

He was a United States Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. Ed retired from Alcoa after 30 years of service. He loved golfing especially at Fendrich Golf Course, bird watching, fishing, hunting and bowling.

Ed is survived by his sons, Kyle McManaway, Bradley McManaway and Ben Boring (Christie) all of Evansville, IN; a sister, Beverly Hicks (Steven) of Rockport, TX; brothers, Michael McManaway of Evansville, IN and Mark McManaway (Debbie) of Newburgh, IN; grandchildren, Jade and Trinidy Boring, Joshua, Jordan (Brooklyn), Noah and Abby Enright. Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Ellen June (Henderson) McManaway in 2015; his mother, Veronica (Andrusyk) Siner and his father, James W. McManaway.

A veteran service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 30, 2018 by the Retired Veterans Memorial Club at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave. , Evansville, IN 47711. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home.
