James ‘Jim’ Miller, 73, of Richland Center died Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the VA Hospital in Madison. He was born on July 1, 1944, in Ash Creek the son of Harold and Eileen (Henthorn) Miller. Jim served in the US Army for 2 years.

Jim was a member of American Legion Post #13 and VFW Post #2267. He enjoyed bowling, serving as the Major League Secretary and his bowling teams Secretary on Monday and Thursday nights. Jim was woodworker, making many signs.

He worked as a locksmith and as a custodian… Read More » for the Richland Center School District for 28 years. Jim was an avid Packers and Badgers Fan. He enjoyed camping both in tents and RVs, deer hunting and mushroom hunting.

On June 25, 1988, Jim was united in marriage to Lois Cooper, at the Little Brown Church in Iowa. Jim is survived by his wife Lois Miller; brother: William C. Miller of Sun Prairie; one niece, two nephews, many other relatives, and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Eileen (Henthorn) Miller.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel. Burial will be held at a later date at the Bowen Mills Cemetery where military graveside rites will be provided by the Local Military Memorial Honors Unit. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM.

The family suggests memorials in Jim’s name be directed to Hats for Veterans or a charity of their choice. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
