Bakkum, 68, of Marinette passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, in Milwaukee, WI. She was born on February 3, 1950 to Frank and Gladys (Gomen) Marini in Baraboo, WI. She graduated from Reedsburg High School in 1968.

On November 6, 1971, Janice married Ronald Bakkum at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Baraboo, WI. In May of 1981, Janice and her husband moved to Marinette. She worked in banking from 1981 until 1995.

She then worked at The Print Shop from 1995 until retiring in 2014. She was a member of Holy Family Parish. She loved the outdoors, reading, and walking.

Janice is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ronald of Marinette, WI; daughters Karla Bakkum and Jill Bakkum, both of Lompoc, CA; a brother, Michael (Dianne) Marini; three sisters: Rita Bates, Monica (Richard) Harrison, and Julie (Mark) Liegel. Janice was preceded in death by her father, Frank and her nephew, Matt Liegel. Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
