Wieser, 79, Rosholt, SD, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018, at the Traverse Care Center in Wheaton, MN. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Rosholt with Father Gregory Frankman officiating. Music will be provided by pianist Buffy Kemnitz.

A private family burial will be held at St. Nicholas Catholic Cemetery, rural Rosholt. Janice Marie was born on July 14th, in 1939, to Alfred and Lenora (Schneider) LeClair. She graduated from Rosholt High School in 1957.

Janice was married to Ralph Wieser October 3, 1960. They had five children: Mark, Myron, Laurie, Brenda, and Joe. She enjoyed afternoons spent with family, sporting events, 4-H, and FHA.

She taught CCD for 50+ years and loved it — especially first communion. She took great pride in 20 years as an EMT and CPR instructor, as well as going to NFO meetings with Ralph. Janice and Ralph really enjoyed helping raise their granddaughter.

She worked at Glacial Lakes Information Center for roughly twenty years and she’d always enjoy talking to travelers from around the world. Janice was preceded in heaven by her husband Ralph; her daughter Brenda; her parents; and sisters Jay and Marilyn; as well as her infant brother Alfred. She is survived by her children Mark, Myron, Laurie and Joe; sisters Valrae Burchill and Ardie Cordie; and her granddaughter Kiara, among nieces and nephews.
