Obituary of Janice Miller Janice K. Miller, age 70, of Campbell, NY passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at her home surrounded by family. Janice was born on October 1, 1947 in Wellsboro, PA, the daughter of the late Charles G. and Pearl J. (Shellman) Benson, Sr She married Douglas Miller on April 11, 1986.

He predeceased her in 2008. She worked in quality control for Dresser-Rand in Painted Post, retiring in 2008 after 30 years of service. Janice will be remembered for her love of gambling – enjoying scratch offs and playing cards and Euchre at the Campbell American Legion.

She served as the Campbell American Legion Auxiliary President for a few years – always staying actively involved. She enjoyed camping and golfing. Her greatest joy came from her family.

She loved family gatherings and get togethers – hosting many over the years. Her grandchildren were her greatest treasure. Her laugh and her great sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by two sons: Scott (Melissa) Patrick of Millerton, PA, James (Corinne) Patrick of Campbell, NY; five grandchildren: Christopher Patrick, Jamie (Dan) Clapper, Brittany Patrick, Morgan Jenkins, Brooklyn Williamson; great grandson, Keyan Frey; siblings: Charles (Rhonda) Benson, Jr., Ben Benson and Dena (Wayne) Daugherty; beloved dog, Toby; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, at the Campbell American Legion, Post 1279, 8458 County Road 333, Campbell. Carpenter’s Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney St., Corning has been entrusted with the arrangements.
