Obituary of Lois Sargent Lois M. Sargent, age 90, of Corning, NY passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Guthrie Corning Hospital. Lois was born October 11, 1927 in Corning, NY to Howard F. and Leone J. (Lamb) Adamy. She married Leon F. Sargent on October 31, 1959.

She was an Avon representative for over 50 years, and was affectionately known as the “Avon Lady”. Lois was a long standing member of Christ Episcopal Church. She adored her grandchildren who brought her great joy in life.

She is survived by three children: Michelle (Patrick) Perryman of Phoenix, AZ, Yvonne (Thomas) Kane of Carlisle, PA, Lisa Sargent of Corning, NY; grandchildren: Shaun Perryman, Siobhan (Kane) Rolfes, Trinity Kane, Brendan Kane, Kateri (Kane) Anders, Sean Kane, William “Shane” Craig, Nicholas Craig, Chevis Sargent, and Terrah Sargent; several great grandchildren; her loyal companion of 12 years, her dog, “Sarge”. Lois was predeceased in death by her parents; her husband: Leon F. Sargent on August 9, 2002; her son: Michael Stirpe ; her grandson: Thomas G. Kane Jr. and her great grandson, Gavin. The family would like to offer their gratitude to Josephine and Joey Dellisante, Nick and Melissa; her nurses who were so helpful during her last years.

Memorial donations can be directed to Christ Episcopal Church, 33 E. 1st Street, Corning, NY. Family and friends are invited to call at Carpenter’s Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney St. Corning, NY on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 11:30-1:30 pm. A funeral service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 33 E. 1st Street, Corning, NY at 2:15pm.

Entombment will immediately follow in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Corning.
