Obituary of Eleanor Kellogg Eleanor M. Kellogg, age 87, of Painted Post and Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Absolut Care of Three Rivers. She was born on June 28, 1930 in Elkland, the daughter of Chester O. and Rosetta (Warner) Miles. She married Arthur C. Allen in 1950 and he predeceased her, later married C. Thomas Burgett in 1981 and he predeceased her in 1990, and then married Ivan Kellogg in 1991 and he predeceased her in 2003.

Eleanor retired from Corning Glass Works in 1985 following 30 years of service. She started a housing development in Elkland Hillview Acres, she started the TOPS Club in Elkland, she was active in the Elkland Methodist Church, and she attended Victory Highway Wesleyan Church. Eleanor spent many winters at Gulf Cove in Englewood and Port Charlotte, Florida.

She loved to travel, having gone to the Czech Republic twice, Mexico on mission trips, Alaska, and the Holy Lands. She is survived by her step-children, Nancy (Clarence) Williams of Painted Post, Nancy A. West of Corning, Shelia (Frank) Borkowski of Painted Post, Barbara (Eugene) Root of Andover, Doug (Delberta) Kellogg of Campbell, Deborah Wandell of Elmira, Danny (Sheila) Burgett of Georgia, and Stephen (Lorretta) Burgett of Horseheads, sister, Mabel Rosky of Lawrenceville, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Eleanor was predeceased by her siblings, Russell, Clarence, Keith, Joseph, Velma and Catherine.

Family and friends are invited to call at Victory Highway Wesleyan Church, 150 Victory Highway, Painted Post, on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Eleanor’s funeral service will take place there at Noon. Burial will follow at Chapel Knoll Cemetery.

Those wishing may make donations to the Chambers Camp and Retreat Center, 114 Campground Road, Beaver Dams, NY 14812. Arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Home of Corning.
