Obituary of Sylvia Webster Sylvia Anne Webster was born June 22, 1939 in Corning, NY. She passed away April 14th, 2018 in Roanoke, VA. She lived half her life in Corning, NY and the other half in Martinsville, VA.

She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Lewis, parents James and Anne Sutherland, brother, Byron James Sutherland and sister, April Sutherland. She is survived by her children; sons, Tracy Webster (Himrod NY), Darby Webster (Corning NY), daughters, Shelly Mitchell (Moneta VA), Nicole (Jason) Naylor (Martinsville VA) where they have lived the last two years helping Sylvia. She is survived by her sister, Penny (Robert Strong) Sutherland (Akron OH) and sister-in-law, Kathy Sutherland (Apache Jct, AZ).

Grandchildren Margaret Webster, Jonathan Mitchell, Zorya Webster, Sidney Webster, nieces, nephews and close cousins. She left behind Bentley, her devoted Pet who enriched and changed her life. She graduated from CFA Class of 57.

Sylvia loved her many different professions; retiring at the age of 77 from Family Preservation Services of Martinsville, Virginia. She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church; where she was an active member. Sylvia loved her children and grandchildren; always showering them with love and gifts.

She loved shopping and entertaining her many beloved friends. She loved decorating outside for the holidays; winning recognition in her home town. She will be missed by all whose paths crossed hers.
