Jewell Ammalene Barnes, age 82, of Anderson, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Providence Care Center in Anderson following an extended illness. She was born on November 6, 1936 Malden, Missouri to the late Raymond and Delphia Jewel (Underwood) Barnes. Jewell was a Homemaker all of her adult life.

She loved to attend church. She often attended various Pentecostal churches in the Anderson area. Her family knows that Jewell is at peace now and her family members are taking care of her in Heaven.

Jewell is survived by her brother, Larry (Barbara) Barnes, sister Margie (George “Marion”) Bannister, sister-in-law, Linda Barnes, and several nieces and nephews. Jewell was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Barnes, mother, Delphia Jewel Barnes, and two brothers, Charlie “Chuck” Barnes and William “Bill” Barnes. A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, March 4, 2019 at Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson.
