Obituary for John J. Cotter, Sr. In New Haven May 7, 2018 John J. Cotter, Sr. 81, of North Branford. Beloved husband of Margaret O’Connor Cotter. Loving father of John J. Cotter, Jr. (Judy) , Robert D. Cotter (Donna) and Katie Kelly (Chris) , brother of Daniel T. Cotter (Mary) and Mary T. Cotter.

Also survived by his beloved grandchildren Robert Jr., Caitlin Rose, Christopher Jr., Griffin, Liam and Delaney. He was predeceased by a son Christopher M. Cotter, Sr. John was born in New Haven March 8, 1937 son of the late Daniel J. and Josephine Ryan Cotter. He retired from the former SNET and then later worked at the Yale Law Library.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Francis Church. Friends are asked to go directly to church. Burial in All Saints Cemetery.

Calling hours are Friday from 4 – 8 p.m. in Sisk Brothers Funeral Home 3105 Whitney Ave. Hamden. In lieu of flowers contributions to St. Francis School Development Fund 423 Ferry St. New Haven, CT.
