John “Jack”‘s Obituary John “Jack” A. Hallock, 78, of Hamilton Township, died Friday morning, January 25, 2019, while under hospice care at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Pocono in East Stroudsburg. He was the husband of Paula (Williams) Hallock with whom he shared 43 years of marriage. Born on February 16, 1940 in East Stroudsburg, he was the only child of the late Arnold and Virginia (Graham) Hallock and was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.

He served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a service technician for Bell Telephone/Verizon until retiring after 37 years of service. Jack was a member of Christ Hamilton United Lutheran Church, Bell Telephone Pioneers, East Stroudsburg Tower Society, and Communication Workers of America CWA Local #13000). He played, managed and was an officer for Monroe County Church League Softball; was an avid Phillies fan; and enjoyed jogging and mountain biking.

In addition to his wife, surviving are four children, Christina Rohr and husband David of Denver, NC, Victoria Bayer of Mt. Nebo, NC, John D. Hallock and wife Amy of Papillion, NE, and Amy Strausser and companion David Bush of Stroudsburg; eight grandchildren, Colin Rohr, Stephanie Rohr, Alex Bellury, Cassandra Bellury, Olivia Hallock, Kyle Hallock, Keith Hallock and Kyleigh Davis; and his canine best friend, Jodie. Services will be held on Saturday, February 16, at Christ Hamilton United Lutheran Church, 419 Bossardsville Road, Stroudsburg (village of Bossardsville); where the visitation will be in the Lighthouse building from 11:00AM to 1:00PM and memorial service in the sanctuary at 1:00PM with Rev.

Peter Kuritz officiating. Cremation was private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial remembrances be made to Alzheimer National Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue (floor 17), Chicago, IL 60601 or AWSOM Animal Shelter, 3129 Godfrey Ridge Road, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
