Mr. John T. Hart, 66, of Swainsboro passed away Tuesday evening, July 24, 2018 at Augusta University Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. Hart was born July 23, 1952 in McRae, GA to the late Arthur Hart and Bobbie Grizzard Hart. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Alford Hart, Harvey Hart, and Standford Hart; sister, Materell Herrington.

Mr. Hart moved to Emanuel county in 1954 with his family. He was employed with Justin Logging as an equipment operator and a truck driver. His hobbies included fishing, cooking and hanging out with family and friends.

Most of all he loved spending time with his pride and joy, his granddaughter Kaylyn “Tootie Bug”. Mr. Hart was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his son, John Hart II (Ashley) of Swainsboro; step-sons, Mark Johnson (Stephanie) of Milledgeville and Joey Johnson of Swainsboro; brothers, Willie Earl Hart (Mary) of Dublin, Danley Hart (Nancy) of Swainsboro and Stanley Hart (Patty) of Swainsboro; sisters, Zenomia Culber of Swainsboro, Rachel Outon of Alabama, Frances Wilcher (Larry Morrison) of Swainsboro, Bernice McCoy (Otis) of Dublin and Rosetta Hart of Swainsboro; granddaughter, Kaylyn Hart; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral Services will be in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 6:00 p.m. Friday July 27, 2018 with Reverend Joe Bedgood officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home. Should friends desire, in leu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Mr. John T. Hart, 918 Crump St., Swainsboro GA 30401 Condolences may be expressed at www.
