Joy E. Ramey, 59, of Vevay (formerly of North Vernon), passed away Friday, January 18, 2019, at her residence. A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Mr. Jerry Caudill will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Born August 28, 1959, in Jennings County, Joy was the daughter of Rev. William A. and Lee Esther Ramey.

She graduated from Jennings County High School in 1977. Joy was very artistic and was an avid drawer and painter. She enjoyed her grandchildren and two dogs.

Joy is survived by her mother, Lee Esther Ramey of North Vernon; three sons, Joshua Sharp of Commiskey, Justin Sharp of Indianapolis and Dylan Carpenter of Hawaii; three brothers, Wade Ramey of CA, Wes Ramey of FL and Mark Ramey of North Vernon; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. William A. Ramey.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the family or Queensville Community Church.
