Obituary for Joyce Ann Taylor Bickford Joyce Ann Taylor Bickford, 66, of 104 Brook Circle, Danville, VA, joined her Heavenly choir unexpectedly on Friday, September 21, 2018 at SOVAH Health-Danville. Mrs. Bickford was born in Danville, VA, on January 4, 1952, a daughter of the late Morris McAden Taylor, Jr. and the late Dorothy May Gourley Taylor. She attained her Bachelor’s Degree from Radford University.

She lived all of her life in the Danville area where she was a school teacher for thirty-six years for Danville Public Schools. She was a member of College Park Baptist Church where she served as Choir Director. She loved watching sports on television and vacationing at the beach.

On December 1, 1979, she married Charles “Chuck” Neal Bickford, who survives of the residence. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Patrick D. Bickford; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Jonathan Bickford; and a brother, Morris “Mac” Taylor, III.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 3:00 PM at College Park Baptist Church with the Reverend Gary Tucker officiating. A private interment will take place on Monday in Danville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service and at other times will be at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donation be made to College Park Baptist Church, 1104 South Main St, Danville, VA. , 24541. Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel is serving the Bickford family.
