Raymond Ellis Stewart Hayes, age 75, of 252 Milton Hwy, Ringgold, VA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at SOVAH Health. He was born on May 05, 1943, in Danville, VA, to the late McKinley Hayes and Bertha Thomas Hayes. Before his retirement, Mr. Hayes worked as a construction worker and was of the Christian faith.

He was an avid outdoors man. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mildred Faye Haynes Hayes, of the residence; children, William Raymond Hayes and wife, Leslie, of Staunton, VA and Tondea Hayes Irby and husband, Steven, of Dry Fork, VA; grandchildren, William McKinley Hayes, Hannah Irby Langley, and Joseph Nelson Irby; sister Joan Reaves; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hayes was predeceased by eleven siblings.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Abundant Life World Outreach with Pastors Sharon and Bill Motley officiating. Visitation will be held one hour to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens.
