Joyce Warren, 87, of Granite City, Illinois passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, June 4, 2018 at her home in Granite City. Joyce was born on March 2, 1931; the daughter of the late Henry and Helen (Caldwell) Metcalf Sr. Joyce was a beautician who ran her shop out of her home in Granite City. She was a faithful member of Nameoki United Methodist Church in Granite City and enjoyed her days of going to the Granite City Elks Lodge and many other restaurants for meals and social time with her friends.

Joyce liked to stay fit with her yoga classes and keeping her yard in immaculate condition. Most of all Joyce loved spending time with her family and friends and will be remembered for her bubbly personality and the smile she always had on her face. Joyce is survived by and will be missed by her children; James (Tina) Warren of Granite City, Illinois, Jo Ann (John) Perdue of Mansfield, Texas; grandchildren, Amy Herod, Jamie (Craig) Murphy, Justin (Gina) Warren, Lydia (Jonathan) Goodyear; great-grandchildren, Marissa Herod, Brandon Herod, Ryan Hayes, Morgan Hayes, Leighton Hayes, Lucian Warren, Scarlet Warren, Landon Goodyear, Haley Goodyear; sister, Arlene Earhart and numerous other close family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband; Jesse A. Warren, whom she married on October 24, 1953; her son, Jerry Wayne Warren; brother, Henry Metcalf; sister, Marge Stewart. In celebration of Joyce’s life, visitation will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Rayson officiating at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City. Memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
