Samuel R. Llewellyn, 50, of Cottage Hills, Illinois passed away at 3:45 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Unity Pointe Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. He was born August 4, 1967 in Fayetteville, North Carolina, a son of Jacqueline M. “Jackie” (Clark) Llewellyn of Cottage Hills and the late Richard R. Llewellyn Sr. Throughout his childhood, he had served with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two nephews, Joseph (Wendy) Segrest of Edwardsville and Christopher Llewellyn of Glen Carbon; other extended family and friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard R. Llewellyn Jr. In celebration of his life, a graveside service will be held at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Troy on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the St. Jerome Church for St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
